Major Misconceptions of the Islamic Civilization
Our common Muslim is too innocent, for he cherishes a blind faith upon whatever form and degree of fake and fictitious Islam has reached him as a sacred inheritance. Without undergoing even a cursory study, or taking up the least amount of research work, he can instantly become a lethal enemy to all those who may utter a single word against the prevalent fake and fictitious Islam or against his “Pious Elders” in the faith. It doesn’t bother him to think that because of this very counterfeit Islam and these very “Pious Elders” the Muslim today is the cheapest and the lowest model community on the globe. And in his own Muslim society it is regarded the highest blessing to secure a chance to emigrate to the Western societies of “Infidels and Deviationists”. In this context the poor guy is seen frantically wandering around seeking visas at any cost.
What this humble writer is going to write in this brief research thesis of his would certainly prove to be a source of great turbulence and turmoil and a discovery having a devastating effect upon our “blind-faith” followers. Nevertheless, if the ultimate truth is revealed to you through a hard and cruel toil in exploration, it becomes imperative for you to spread it far and wide and never to fear its repercussions.
Islam’s Real Criminals as discovered by the latest research
Mu’awiyah as part and parcel of the notorious At-Tulaqaa Group – Saudi Scholar Sheikh Hassan Farhan Al-Maaliki:
From the birthplace of Islam, Saudi Arabia, a modern Rationalist Quranist scholar and historian, Sheikh Hassan Farhan Al-Maliki has recently revealed a fresh historical discovery. He claimed that the True Islam was totally destroyed by those arch enemies of the Messenger of Islam who had maintained their firm stand of enmity and disbelief during the entire period of the Islamic movement. They were those tribal chiefs of Makkah and their allies whose major segment consisted of Umayyad clan of Qurayish and who, at the fateful hour of the victory of Makkah, entered the fold of Islam only under a timely strategic and compromising move. According to Sheikh Hassan, they were the Umayyad Chief Abu Sufyan , his son Ameer Mu’awiyah and the group of their supporters. However, their vicious hypocritical compromise was taken proper note of, although our histories were silenced over this issue by force. The latest research revealed that this hypocrite group consisted of two thousand defeated militants who were subsequently given the denomination of At-Tulaqaa.
When this writer took up the analysis of Sheikh Hassan’s discovery on the criterion of my own continued research in history, not only various circumstantial evidence and conclusions were corroborated, but my own discovered theory about Mu’awiyah, being the destroyer of the true Islamic Caliphate, was fully attested and authenticated. It goes without saying that this confirmation became a source of spiritual satisfaction and pleasure for me. I thank the Almighty for protecting me from committing serious errors in my research work, and by guiding me towards the right direction, for granting me incalculable amount of encouragement. I did become a target of criticism on these conclusions of my research work by a backward traditional segment of our society who kept annexing me with one or the other major sectarian groups we presently find in the Islamic faith.
Let us make it clear that by virtue of being a pure Quranist Muslim, my feeling of pleasure over authentic attestation of my research work has no sectarian or biased basis/aspects. Love of Ali or hatred of Mu’awiyah has never been my concern at all. There was just a perennial desire to know and expose to the world out there the true picture of destruction of the Real Islam and this desire was related to the feeling of shame caused by prevalent insult and ridicule of Islam and the Muslim Community all over the globe. But how regrettable it is to note the reactions of our blind faith follower segments and hero worshiper groups, that I had to face the abusive titles of Khaarji and Raafdhi for commenting positively on Sheikh Hassan’s modern research work. The term of At-Tulaqaa which Sheikh Hassan discovered through his solid research was used as a stranglehold around my neck and I was strongly opposed and cursed for giving “Pious Muslims” the name of At-Tulaqa.
I may add here just a little bit more to make it clear to these so-called Muslims that the journey of knowledge can never be obstructed by any amount of abuse, insult and cursing. Why to bid farewell to patience and forbearance just in the very beginning. You never know how many more devastating discoveries are to unfold, and how many storms have to hit the humanity in the near future. There are many doors of the dark dungeons of history, shut for unknown centuries, yet to be opened, and God knows how many man-eater monsters are yet to emerge roaring from the dark shadows of their corroded thresholds. Those infested with the virus of sects, blind devotions and prejudices are advised to keep in store their collections of abuse and edicts for the coming difficult times so that if their paralyzed tongues might still have some remnants of life, they may be able to fulfill their zest for abuse.
Authentic Attestations
The group nominated as At-Tulaqa at the time of the Victory of Makkah is clearly defined since ages in the world renowned Arabic Lexicon “Al-Munjid”, and it not only attests the research work of this humble writer but also the fresh revelations of Sheikh Hassan Al-Maalki. Those who take pleasure in going deep into the ocean of research, they can carefully study the narrative of Al-Munjid under the Root word T L Q.
“Mu’awiyah’s entire career is reflective of intrigue, bribes, treachery on the land, hypocrite diplomacy, enmity of Mohammad pbuh and Islam, and the worst kind of despotism.” How many historical facts can be defied or denied? Check “Tabqaat Ibn-e-Sa’ad, Tabari, Al-Iste’aab, Ibn al-Aseer, Al-Badayah wa Al-Nihayah. It is duly acknowledged that Imam Tabari of “Tareekh-ul-Umam wa al-Malook, is blamed of being a partisan of Shiite affiliation, but how would one blame the other authentic historians for reporting the facts that go against him?
The Perspective
Let us not forget that until the Hejri year 8 this guy was an infidel and enemy of Islam and stayed with his enemy of Islam and infidel father in Makkah at the matured age of 26 years. He converted to Islam, along with his father, under compromise only when Makkah was conquered and he saw the sword reaching his neck. This kind of Islam neither has a justification nor can it be acceptable to the God. The claim about him of being a scribe of divine revelations was an eye-wash/deceit. He could see only two and half to 3 years of the holy Prophet’s life in the guise of a hypocrite Muslim. Moreover, after being nominated among the chiefs of the At-Tulaqa group, how could he be appointed as a scribe by the Prophet? How long would we continue believing those episodes of history blindly whose source are only traditions – those traditions which are hearsay, fabricated news and fake stories concocted to attest the fake and fictitious Interpretations of Quran and to give support to the legitimacy of the eras of despotic kings?
Thereafter, this guy infiltrated into the elitist class of Muslims and waited for his chance to come. That chance came to him in the tragedy of the murder of Caliph Uthman. It is also discovered that in order to fulfil his plans he was the one behind the conspiracy to murder Caliph Uthman. By that time, by virtue of his high status as the Governor of Syria he had become so powerful and independent as to launch the most formidable political adventure. His target was no less than to uproot Islam from its foundations and re-establish the dictatorial supremacy and rule of the Umayyad clan. The entire circumstantial evidence of the political moves of those times point in this direction. He also got accomplished the tasks he had left behind undone by nominating his son Yazeed as his successor. Among that unfinished agenda were the massacre of everyone who had a deeper exposure to the knowledge of real Islam and obliterating all the remnants and governmental archives of the rise and development of Islamic movement and the Rashidoon Caliphate (the massacre of Herrah – Madinah).
It is a great tragedy that the Muslim has lost his historical consciousness. He thinks that Quran does not offer a criterion for analyzing the virtues and evils of healthy and unhealthy behaviors and the manifestation of intellectual and social aspects of different spheres of life. It is proved by the fact that our naïve Muslim does not visualize the annihilation of that discipline by Mu’awiyah’s insurgence against the Rashidoon Caliphate which the Holy Prophet of Islam had established in accordance with the injunctions of the Quran in the form of the State of Madinah! When Mu’awiyuah later established a dynastic, cruel and dictatorial regime by obviating the code of socio-political ethics promulgated by the Holy Profit under the tenets of the Quran, the naïve Muslim could not sense that great fundamental and pivotal transformation. And Mu’awiyah still retained his counterfeit status of a holy Companion, scribe of divine revelations, a pious elder and a Muslim Caliph, in such matured tactical way that his entire crooked career and, his hypocritical politics, and his overall un-Islamic character having been elaborated in the history, could not rip apart his cloak of piety and devotion.
Similarly, when Caliph Uthman generously distributed estates, high status Government posts, and huge amounts in cash, behaving blatantly against the verdicts of his predecessor Caliphs, the Muslim refused to believe these violations of fundamental principles. When Uthman pardoned the shrewd Marwan bin Hakam, who was exiled out of Madinah by the Holy Prophet, and appointed him as his State Secretary in Madinah, the Muslim still kept his mouth shut by way of blind devotion to him. This Marwan bin Hakam was Uthman’s cousin and belonged to the same category of At-Tulaqa group who were separated from the mainstream Muslims at the time of the victory of Makkah. When Ameer Mu’awiyah finally managed to get Uthman murdered with the help of Uthman’s State Secretary and two of his friends known as Abdallah bin Sa’ad bin Abi Sarah and Walid bin ‘Aqbah bin Abi Muheet, the Muslim once again refused to acknowledge this conspiracy. Immediately afterwards when Mu’awiyah, pursuing his long term tactics, raised the slogan of revenge for Uthman’s murder, even then his true character was not exposed to the Muslim. And finally, when after the battles of Jamal and Siffin against the elected Caliph Ali, Ameer Mu’awiyah usurped the caliphate and radically transformed the true discipline imposed by the Rashidoon Caliphate, the Muslim still could not grasp the reality. His historical consciousness was devoured by blind faith upon “Pious elders”.
Can a Muslim deny the fact that Ali was the fourth elected Pious Caliph of the Muslims? His political misjudgments put aside, his entitlement was unquestionable and to wage war against him could only be initiated by a traitor.
Disclaimer from prejudice and sectarianism
We are dealing here with historical facts, not with Shiite or Sunny sectarianism. To paint this writing with sectarianism would, in fact, be tantamount to create a justification for ignoring or overlooking the historical realities. I understand that the book entitled “Khilafat aur Malukiat” by Modudi illustrates the state of affairs in a better and authentic style. Above all, the entire corpus of authentic historians confirm and attest the veracity of this book. Modudi displayed the needed courage and fortitude which spurred him to compile the detailed facts of favoritism and misappropriation of public funds emerging in the reign of Caliph Uthman and the usurping and destructive strategy against the real Islam unleashed by the hands of Mu’awiyah. As a result thereof, Modudi had to face a storm of cursing and abuse by the mainstream majority of his own sect.
Mahmood Ahmed Abbasi, as a critic of Modudi’s Book, failed to impress the readers as he just narrates a few statements in favor of Mu’awiyah and his succeeding son Yazeed on the basis of a few baseless traditions and fills the rest of his writing with conjectures, personal opinions and references from unknown historical sources. Most of the pages of his book are replete with irrelevant stuff and biographies of unimportant personalities. Facts have been distorted freely. His writings openly display Shiite enmity, enmity against Ali, Hassan and Hussain and sentiments of sectarianism. That’s why the biased Sunni element blindly support his cheap and inconsistent writing. The so-called historical stuff that surfaces from his writings is so upside down that he commits the idiocy of declaring the autocratic, dynastic kingdoms of Umayyad and Abbaside clans as kingdoms of God based on the Quran and Hadith, only to prove his case as justified. He declares that these successive despotic dynasties whose founder was a worst kind of dictator like Mu’awiyah was the continuation of the Pious Caliphate, irrespective of the historical reality that they ruled by sword, by a feudal system, where humans were bought and sold in the market like commodities and palaces and harems were built and maintained. His extremely odd and weird historical misconceptions not only affiliate him with the category of bogus historians but easily categorize his entire writings as unauthorized and unbelievable.
The State of Affairs under Despotic Rule
The demolition of the Real Islam in 35 Al-Hejira and the annihilation of the kingdom of God was a tragedy of colossal proportions which the Muslim intelligentsia most regrettably laments to this day. The segment of Quranic thinkers among them have been endeavoring to explore and re-discover Islam’s lost philosophy since the last two centuries. Investigations into history to track down the actual criminal of Islam’s downfall have finally brought us to the real culprit. It might take some more time and effort before this culprit’s secrets and the minutest details of his conspiracy are fully exposed. However, some elements continue trying to sabotage this sincere effort unintentionally with the help of two books of Mahmud Ahmed Abbasi and their blind convictions. It is brought to the kind notice of such elements that the un-authentic stuff by a partisan, rather prejudiced Sunni writer, cannot become an obstacle in the way of this great discovery. The true and pure face of Islam has to surface at all costs and Islam’s real enemies, who were not the so-called ‘Ajami compilers of the books of traditions, but were rather the Qurayishite despotic kings, would soon be fully exposed.
Hassan Basri says :- “Four of Mu’awiyah’s acts are such that if anyone commits even one of those, it may prove fatal for him. One of them is to draw the sword against this community/nation, and usurp the rule without a consultation or consensus although many companions of the Holy Prophet were still alive; secondly, to nominate his son as successor, although he was a drunkard, wore silk clothing and played music; thirdly, to include Ziyad into his family, although the clear verdict of the Holy Prophet was there saying that the offspring is owned by the one on whose bed it takes birth, and the fornicator deserves only stones; fourthly, his murder of Hujr and his comrades. (Ibn al-Aseer)
All the old feuds between the tibes of ‘Adnan, Qahtan, Yamani and Midhri, Azd and Tamim, Kalb and Qayis were revived under his rule. Mu’awiyah himself instigated the tribes against one another.
Mu’awiyah declared a Muslim as heir to an Infidel and an Infidel was not declared heir to a Muslim. It was the Caliph Umr bin Abdelaziz who abrogated this evil ruling of his. But the succeeding Caliph Hishaam reinstated this tradition of his clan (Al-Bidayah wa Al-Nihayah).
Mu’awiyah initiated another ugly tradition under his rule. It was that he himself and, under his orders, all of his governors, in their sermons from over the pulpit, used to curse Ali. It went so far as in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, exactly adjacent to the Prophet’s grave, his closest relative used to be cursed and Ali’s descendants and his close relatives used to listen to that abuse (Al-Tabari, Ibn-e-Kathir, Al-Badayah wa Al-Nahayah).
In case of distribution of war spoils too, Mu’awiyah violated the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet. The fifth of the total spoils used to go the public treasury and rest of the four shares were distributed among the troops. Instead of that he ordered to distribute the booty only after separating silver and gold for him. (Tabqaat Ibn-e-Sa’ad, Tabari, Al-Iste’aab, Ibn Al-Asir, Al-Badayah wa Al-Nahayah).
Mu’awiyah declared his Governors above the law and refused to take legal action against their excesses. It went so far as one of his Governors conquered the city of HHHH Hmtheiri their
\ Hamdan which was under the Ali’s rule, and turned all the Muslim women into slaves. (Ibn Al-Aseer, Al-Badayah wa Al-Nahayah). This was how the institution of slavery was re-introduced into the Islam.
The Jahiliyah tradition of exhibiting the severed heads of the enemies was also re-instated in Mu’awiyah’s rule. Cutting into pieces of dead bodies was also reintroduced in his rule. Details of this gory practice are documented.
His son Yazeed commissioned Muslim bin ‘Aqabah to invade the city of Madinah. Madinah was conquered and then under Yazeed’s orders, the Army was let loose to do whatever it wished for three days. The entire city was ransacked in those three days, its inhabitants were massacred in which, as per the traditions of Imam Zohri, seven hundred dignitaries and about ten thousand common men were killed; and above all, the savage troopers broke into homes and blatant rape of women was committed. According to Hafiz Ibn-e-Kathir, one thousand women became pregnant by raping during that time. After doing away with Madinah the same army invaded Makkah, catapults were used for stoning the holy shrine of Ka’bah and fire was thrown/showered.
Proofs from Traditions
Some devotees of Mu’awiyah offer some stuff from traditions in his favor. For example, that he was a Companion, a Scribe of Revelations, was one of the “ten with glad tidings” (‘Ashrah Mubashshirah), etc. etc. In rebuttal thereof some examples from the same collection of traditions are presented hereunder which would make such devotees look into the mirror carefully :-
Abdallah ibn Umar says that he heard the Prophet saying: “Mu’aviyah is not going to die on the path of Islam”.
Jaabir ibn Abdallah testified that he himself heard the Prophet saying : “Mu’awiyah will not be counted as one of the Muslim Ummah at the time of his death”.
Ash-Shawkaani has cursed Mu’awiyah in his book, “Neel al-Awtaar”.
Abdallah ibn Musa has cursed Mu’awiyah and anyone who does not curse Mu’awiyah.
Abdur Razzaaq as-San’aani from “Masnad Ahmed” :- Whenever Mu’awiyah was mentioned or referred to he used to say “Do not spoil this gathering of ours with the mention of Abu Sufyan’s son”.

Our contemporary Saudi historian and Quranic Scholar Sh. Hassan narrates in one of his Videos :-
“The people of Badr were massacred in the battle of Siffin. It was done by the hands of Mu’awiyah and the Syrian Army sent by him. We do not find any mention of Al-Arqam here who was also killed in Siffin along with others. In the last Video, the name of Madlaj ibn ‘Amr As-Salaami was mentioned. His account was also made to disappear as he also was Ali’s supporter. Among them were some Badri Companions whose names the government failed to delete from the pages of history, such as ‘Ammaar bin Yaasir, Abu Ayyub Ansaari, although he was nowhere mentioned after giving the Prophet a refuge in his house in Medinah. He was also killed in the battle of Siffin and then Mu’awiyah and his supporters claimed that he was killed while fighting under the command of Yazid ibn Mu’awiyah. Behind this contradiction, there’s a long story; and since 1409, viz., about 20 years, I have been engaged in deeper research on Abu Ayyub Ansaari in the perspective of those Badri Companions who stood alongside of Imaam Ali. This research of mine deals with the supporters of Imaam Ali and particularly with his supporter Badri Companions. In the course of this research I have scanned through Ibn-e-Tymiah and several other books and have noted about those personalities who reported had not supported the legitimate Caliphate of Imaam Ali. Most of those Companions have been reported as saying that they did not stand with Ali because they wanted to avoid chaos and confusion in the Ummah. And that none of them were with Ali except three or four Companions. Such statements are also seen which report that non-supporter group included Imaam Ash-Sha’abi too who stated on oath that nobody stood with Ali except Khuzimah ibn Thaabit. Moreover, many of the opposite narratives were rejected too which are authentic and still exist in the books of Sunnite Scholars, such as Khalifah ibn Khayyaat, Tabqaat ibn Sa’ad, in Al-Mo’jam Al-Kabeer by At-Tibraani; and even Adh-Dhahbi has included them in his book Tareekh-al-Islam Al-Kabeer.
During this research I noted a highly notable fact which was depicted by Ibn-e-Tymia. He said, “There is a Sunnah which all of us know about; and there’s another Sunnah which is known as Umayyad Sunnah. Those who believe in that Sunnah which we all believe in – and let me mention here that Dr. Suhail and myself are included in this group – they support the fact that Imaam Ali’s Caliphate is considered legitimate by as many known pious people as can be possible, inclusive of the Companions. However, those who believe in the Umayyad Sunnah, they wish that the majority of such pious people may appear impartial. And that impartiality is desired only for the purpose of supporting the false claims of Mu’awiyah.
Anyway, Mu’awiyah’s evil deeds, like going to war against Ali, assassination of ‘Ammaar bin Yaasir in the battle of Siffin, the massacre of Badri Companions, taking of Al-Riba, drinking and trading in liquor, grabbing the wealth of people, can be seen easily in “Masnad Ash-Shaashi” and “Al-Haakim” etc. etc.”
The Law of Requittal
By all accounts, Mu’awiyah bin Abi Sufyan of the House of Umayyads was the name of the evil character of Muslim history who destroyed forever the sacred Kingdom of God, known as the Pious Caliphate, established by the merciful and inspiring hands of the Holy Messenger of Islam. It is he whose entire unscrupulous diplomacy of that time is illustrated on the pages of history in substantial detail. Some startling discoveries have come up recently by virtue of which answers to some perennial questions have been traced and puzzles solved. All that you have studied in the thesis above embodies the painful details of this counter-revolution which resulted in the resurgence of a cruel, personal, dynastic Umayyad regime which brought about an abrupt and conclusive end of the golden universal ethics and morals. Nevertheless, the retribution of their inhuman, exploitative character and of their luxury and debauchery was suffered by the Umayyad clan in such a terrible manner that only after 92 years of rule, the Abbasid clan, with the help of the troops of Abu Muslim Khorasaani, slaughtered their entire Royalty. Young or old, man or woman, not a single soul was spared. The skeletons/bones of most prominent late Umayyad kings were dug out of their graves and hanged in public. So, God’s Law of Requital turned their glory into a devastating end.
It is an amazing phenomenon that in spite of the evil despotic character of the Umayyad and the Abbasid dynastic rule so emphatically and inconspicuously detailed in the historical record, and in spite of whatever befell upon them as divine retribution, the Muslim faith group still looks at them in awe and pride! By all accounts, this insane outlook originates from the propaganda by the Muslim clergy that all of those rulers must be treated as the Pious Elders of Islam, and their evil deeds must be overlooked so that no sin is sustained. Until today, the illiterate majority and the frigid minds of educated Muslims are kept misguided in not believing that the real destroyers of true Islam were their own Muslim kings. They still believe that the founders of these two dynastic ruler families were the true Muslims, one of whom was the Companion of the Prophet, the Scribe of Revelations, and the legitimate fifth Pious Caliph of the Muslims, and was full of virtues. And the insane majority blindly believes this obviously false and misguiding propaganda without study, probe and research, which had come originally from the Umayyad Kings.
The thesis presented by this writer in installments with the purpose of exposing the Muslim history’s grand scam and fraud, and to divert this community towards intellect, thinking, consciousness and probe, has been responded to by a few readers in a way that paints the true picture of a community intellectually dead, with corroded thinking and elder-worshiping tendency. Criticism by way of lame excuses, irrelevant objections and senseless questioning, absence of tackling and sticking to the real theme, and efforts to divert away from the fundamental points, is widely noted. Those failing in ability to write down a single page of academic criticism, have kept condemning the writer with the naked sword of their personal convictions. While hating the act of kicking out such characters from the forum, I was forced to do so with several miscreants who abused me in street-wise terminology, not without having to bear lots of grief.
None of that group of miscreants was found possessing the least degree of patience, courage and academic attitude to, at least, let the thesis completely posted on the page. They were unable to digest that their conceptual dream-fort of Islam can eventually be doomed to a total demolition. How can this ignorant and unfortunate community reform itself – and compete with other nations on the track of development – without knowing fully well as to what havoc was played by the Umayyad despots with their divine discipline just 24 years after the sad demise of their divine Messenger, by inventing an alternate and fictitious Islam for them. Some highlights are as follows:-
. Just after 40 al-Hejira, the seat of the so-called Islamic Government of Umayyad dynasty was moved from Mosques to Forts and Palaces, and was removed from the access of general public, and smeared with the majesty of royal protocol and armies of courtiers, etc.
. A worst kind of feudal system was imposed upon the masses by sword under which a society was built on two-classes pattern. On one side were the rich landlords, generals and those influential with the royalty, and on the other were the agricultural labor, artisans, civil or military servants. This system can still be seen in practice in most of the Muslim societies.
. After 40 al-Hejira, till 200 years, the majority of Muslim scholars seen everywhere were those of Jewish origin who had on the surface, accepted the Muslim faith, and by the power of their allegiance with the Umayyad and Abbasid Royal courts, they had rendered the true Muslim scholars redundant or without influence.
. By the advent of al-Hejira 80, those Jewish Scholars and Sheikhs had injected into Islam, in the name of Islamic spirituality, all those practices and rituals which were up to that time the hallmark of only Judaism;
. Along with the establishment of the Umayyad rule in Damascus, the mission of the demolition of the Real Islam and the formulation of a fake and fictitious Islam was simultaneously launched;
. The start of that particular stage was initiated by launching the writing of Quran’s self-serving Tafaseer (exegesis, interpretations) by Jewish Scholars on the analogy of Talmud. Every part upon its completion was sent to all the governorates under the Royal Decree ordering its imposition upon the masses by sword, who were forced to follow those tafaseer as against the Quran;
. On the pattern/analogy of Jewish Mishnaat, the fabrication of oral tradition was also initiated with full royal protocol with the sole purpose of affording authenticity to the fabricated tafaseer by the medium of Rusool’s sayings. Most of those sayings were the hearsay of imported Jewish oral tradition, through which all kinds of lechery, sexual debauchery and libel and slander were ascribed to the holy Messenger and his family and companions;
. During the period from the martyrdom of Uthman (35 Hejira) to the martyrdom of Aballah ibn Zubair (73 Hejira), in only 37 years, all those who knew Islam in its depth and essence, were killed. Those named “ashrat-ul mubashshirah”, the four holy souls, the companions of Badr, the companions of Bai’at-e-Ridhwaan”, those possessing the deeper knowledge of Quranic ideology, all were eliminated (the Massacre of Hirrah, the massacre in Makkah).
The research based essence of our history is so catastrophic that not only its full narrative and its entire perspective is for the time being impossible to relate, but rather its acceptance by superstitious and blind believer Muslims is almost impossible. Still some highly concerned scholars have gone to great lengths to discover and write those facts. The present work should suffice to open the eyes of the probing minds. Therefore, it is presented for only those with living and vibrant minds.
The “Menace” of KHWAARIJ (الخوارج)
I would beg my Readers’ forgiveness that perhaps still one more convulsion was in waiting for them, one which was to shatter one more big conviction out of their inherited collection of convictions. I’m sure after reading this one, my Readers would feel the earth under their feet crumbling - that the creation of the “Menace of Khwaarij” was also the brain child of our “Great Companion”, the statesman of the time, the honorable Ameer Mu’awiyah bin Abi Sufyan. Apart from the question whether or not that really was a Menace or whether a successful mission was launched through hired historians to frame it as a menace, it is a fact that due to this guy’s mutiny against the ruling Caliph and unleashing the battle of Siffin, a powerful group of people whose slogan was none other than “Inil-Hukmu illa Lillah” (the right to rule is for none other than the God) got separated and walked away from the army of Caliph Ali. This slogan of theirs was the basis of separation from Ali by this group called Khwaarij, who declared that Ali committed a grave mistake by accepting “Tehkeem”(decision thru negotiation) with a renegade. This group is known by history as consisting of the tribe of Bani Tamim.
The state of affairs is very clear. According to Khwaarij, Ali was the legitimate Caliph of the Muslimeen. By his Armed incursion against Ali, Ameer Mu’waviyah committed the act of treason against the Islamic State. According to the injunctions of the Quran, he had to be dealt with by armed retaliation as a mandatory reaction. The Quran had never made permissible any kind of negotiation with or allowances to such an enemy in the face of his armed incursion. Hence, the Caliph Ali had violated the commandments of God and the Quran by accepting “Tehkeem”, or negotiation, with the enemy. And it was apparent too that Amir Mu’aviyah’s invitation for negotiations was a shrewd tactical move to upturn the losing battle in his favor by deceiving Ali.
The detailed scenario of that episode is narrated like this. As soon as it became apparent that the battle of Siffin is going to result in Ali’s victory, and as Mu’aviyah’s troops perceived the impending defeat, Mu’aviyah, with the consultation of his military strategists, who included the legendary army commander ‘Amr bin al-‘Aas, ordered his army to raise the Quran on the tips of their spears and proclaim that they want to abstain from shedding the Muslim blood, and to leave the decision to the Quran. Ali was sent the message to nominate his representatives, and that we also have appointed ours, and we sit down together and undertake mutual arbitration (Tehkeem) according to the Quran. Whoever is found on the right path, he will be declared victorious. Ali was trapped in this tactical trump card, just like many others of his political errors. And at this conjecture, this trap of Mu’aviyah caused such a group of Muslims to emerge who, upon this violation of the divine Code of Ethics, waged wars not only against the Caliph Ali, but fought against the ruthless usurper governments of the Umayyads and then the Abbasides for more than a century. These true believers with meager resources, kept sacrificing their belongings and the lives of their coming generations in the way of God against the two great kingdoms of the time, until in the reign of the Abbasside Caliph Haroon, at long last, the State finally succeeded in wiping out these true believers of Islam forever, by using their unlimited resources and the best of armies battling under the highly distinguished commanders. Subsequently, under the despotic regimes, the entire profile of this community of true believers was altered, smearing it with negative propaganda against the nature of their protracted and persistent armed rebellion against the un-Islamic rule of the Umayyad and Abbasside dynasties. Consequently, every Tom, Dick and Harry today calls every terrorist organization, in loud terms, by the hateful denomination of Khaarji or Khwaarij. Among such self-deceived intellectuals we find the present loudest Jihad-monger of our community, Mr. Zaid Hamid, commonly known as “Laal Topi Wala”!
The history also reveals that in spite of their vast resources and remarkably substantial military and economic capabilities, the despotic Umayyad Empire had failed to wipe out the valiant Khwaarij. They persisted in waging Jihad against the Empire in their dwindling capacity by establishing military headquarters in one territory or the other. They proved themselves as the fiercest of warriors of their time who did not back out from any hardship and gravest of sacrifices that their sacred struggle demanded. History also tells us that had there not been an exceptionally talented war lord, with God-given faculty and competence in warfare, among the Umayyad Generals, by the name of Mohallab bin Abi Safrah (مہلّب بِن ابی صفرہ), and subsequently his equally talented sons, perhaps the valiant Khwaarij warriors would have brought the Umayyad dynasty to a miserable end; and thus would have succeeded in doing away with a usurper un-Quranic regime; and would have turned the tide of Islamic history. The history testifies to the fact that apart from this prominent general and his sons, whosoever was deputed by the Umayyad and Abbasside rulers to face the Khwaarij armies, was either killed or got humiliated by defeat.
A very biased picture of the Khwaarij has been painted in our history. They have been portrayed as extremists, terrorists and cruel Islamic fundamentalists. In this respect, an oral tradition is ascribed to the holy Messenger of Islam whose target is unduly and forcibly directed towards Khwaarij. The Readers can easily make their decision about the veracity of its contents :-
“It is narrated that an arrogant man’s arrogance – who is named as Zul Khwisrah Tamimi - while in audience with the holy Messenger of God, became the root cause of this menace which, later on, created chaos and split in the Muslim community. Imam Abu Bakr al-Aajuri (d. 360 H) writes in Chapter Zim al-Khawaarij, in his “Kitaab ash-Shri’ah :- “The very first man from Khwaarij appeared in the era of the holy Messenger. It was this man who made taunts at the holy Messenger when he was distributing the war spoils at the place called Ju’ranah. This wretched man said: “O Mohammad, make justice. I notice that you are not doing justice”. The holy Messenger replied, “May death befall upon you; if I will not do justice, then who else would come to do it”.
Just compare the period of the holy messenger and the Hejirah year 360 when this oral tradition was concocted around to narrate a fabricated lie!!! Then we proceed further. “Hafiz ibn-e-Hajr ‘Asqalani writes in “Fath al-Baari” that it was this Zul Khwisrah Tamimi’s people who later on emerged with the title of Khwaarij. An unidentified person named Abdur Razzaaq relates that the said Hafiz said: “The real name of Zul Khwisrah Tamimi was Harqoos bin Zubair and he was the founder of Khwaarij.”
It is very clear that any powerful group that had been waging Jihaad against the Regime of the time, would be subjected to all kinds of poisonous propaganda. On this historical reality, along with all factors under consideration, we have sufficient grounds to conclude that the Khwaarij was a righteous community. It is evident by detailed analysis that they regarded the regimes of Umayyad and Abbasside dynasties as un-Islamic and un-Quranic. It does mean that they had full knowledge of their deviationist designs, and therefore, were their natural and foremost enemies; and that they were the only power of that initial Islamic period who, on ideological grounds, practically struggled hard to fight those un-Islamic regimes in the battlefields by employing admirable bravery, selflessness and unbelievable sacrifices.
Under the influence and patronage of the governments of the time, following are the titles systematically awarded to the Khwaarij from time to time:-
Khwaarij are Ahl-e-Zeigh (اہلِ زیغ) (Deviationists);
Khwaarij are damned apostates;
Khwaarij are intriguers and malicious;
Khwaarij are liable to cursing;
Khwaarij have the assumption of being righteous;
Khwaarij are liable to death; are terrorists;
Khwaarij regard all other Muslims as Kaafirs;
Killing of Muslims is a virtue for the Khwaarij;
whereas, the basic conviction of the Khwaarij, easily seen in the same books of history, itself declares all the above insinuation as null and void. And while applying the attributes of intellect and rationality, and through a careful analysis, one can easily and automatically come to the question, without getting confused, as to which of these contradictory historical narrations be taken as the ultimate truth. For example, the same history emphasizes that :-
the Khwaarij duly recognized Ali as the legitimate, elected and the fourth Pious Caliph;
the Khwaarij regarded the process of TEHKEEM to resolve the issue of the new ruler as illegitimate, as according to them, it was the prerogative of Allah to decide that issue. And for this purpose the Quran stipulated clear and elaborate injunctions;
they had the conviction that any Muslim, even a non-Quraishite and a non-Arab could be the leader of the Ummah, if his character and conduct – or integrity - was above any doubt or suspicion;
they maintained the stance that if the supreme leader was known to commit a sin, it was mandatory upon the Muslims to get him out of the seat of authority;
they contended that the third Caliph, Uthman had become liable to death by assassination due to the blunders he had committed;
they perceived Muawiyyah guilty of treason and saw no justification for him to demand a resolution by TEHKEEM, or negotiations, being a traitor. He was to be fought against until he repented and begged forgiveness. In this respect they used to refer to the Verse 9/49 of the Quran, which stipulates that ….”if two parties among the believers are fighting against each other, then arrange a reconciliation between them; still if one of them commits aggression against the other, the aggressor must be fought against until he surrenders and submits to divine injunctions;
they maintained that by accepting the process of TEHKEEM Ali had committed a major sin and by rejecting Allah’s commandments, preferred some mortals’ recommendation over it;
they believed that a Muslim must maintain adherence with the Quran, or with the methodology followed by Prophet Mohammad, Abubakr and Umar bin Khattab;
they rejected the concept that the right of Leadership must be given on the basis of dynastic relationship with Prophet Mohammad;
Khwaarij believed that the Quran was the only source of jurisprudence (Fiqh), and rejected both the other sources known as Hadith and Consensus;
Khwaarij were fond of martyrdom in the way of Allah. Taking into account the women’s participation in the battles along with Prophet Mohammad, they believed fighting was mandatory for women too. They quoted the example of the famous warrior poetess, Layila bint Tareef.
Respected Readers know very well that keeping the Quranic guidance in view, none of the above attributes of the Khwaarij can be declared going against the Quranic injunctions. So, analyzing the above contradictions from history, how easy it is made by the same history to ascertain as to why the Khwaarij were the real enemies of the anti-Quran despotic rulers who had taken a start from Mu’awiyyah’s Damascus regime. In other words, the reality comes up before us that contrary to all the incriminations against them by the despotic regimes – which actually were fabricated via concocted traditions and are enumerated in greater detail in Allama Tahir al-Qadri’s book entitled as “Khwaarij” – Khwaarij was a segment of truly righteous Momineen as elucidated multiple times on the pages of the same history.
This brief narration was given about another big sin and crime on the part of Mu’awiyyah whose repercussions caused a big turmoil and a continued civil war in the Ummah for more than a century, and resulted in the killing of hundreds of thousands innocent Mulims.
PURPORTED REJECTION OF ENTIRE HISTORY FOR TRYING TO DENY CERTAIN HISTORICAL FACTS
We keep observing ridiculous blames against our history by many stupid commentators who try to marginalize the history whenever it does not agree or coincide with their personal convictions. It will be a good lesson if such ludicrous persons are told that the importance of history cannot be devalued by excessive verbiage based on some baseless concepts, or due to the influence of some teachers’ statements delivered in the past. Nor this field of knowledge can be entirely overlooked by the presence of a few un-authentic remarks or some exaggerated material therein. It would be the worst kind of ignorance if the existing material and its sources are not utilized for deriving facts by scanning through a research process. That kind of blunder, if still committed, would render you losing your own identity, that of your own civilization, and of the space and the ground you are standing upon amid the rapid and merciless pace of the passing time. For the blind followers of their teachers, it should suffice to bring into light that the Quran itself is a pure history in the measure of one third of its script. It narrates the history of ancient messengers of God, their communities, the events they had to pass through, their rise and fall; and during the time of the revelation of the Quran, many events inclusive of battles and many other adventures and occurrences, etc. It will be another blow on the face of such ludicrous personalities if the Quran is declared entirely as a book of history in itself. They will never be able to refute this statement, by applying the whole might of their deficient knowledge, because history is not the name of only episodes and occurrences; history is also the history of ideologies, of values, of rules and laws, of philosophies, of wisdom, and of nations’ conduct. And the magnificent Quran is the history of all these fields of knowledge pertaining to its particular time, and upon this knowledge of history the whole edifice of a great new and enlightened nation was built. So, how can the history written later than the Quran can be rejected? Of course, some of its suspicious and exaggerated contents can be passed through a process of rectification and improvement by way of research into their sources.
Nevertheless, the work of this humble writer is not for those ludicrous people who fall under the category of a ‘dead nation’; who are content and well-to-do in their lives which are based on lie and deceit, and have no purpose or destination. It is those who are not keen and anxious in seeking the ultimate reality of their existence. It is also those who feel happy when they insult and abuse scholars and sages only because they themselves are bereft of knowledge and awareness. The Quran equates such people with animals. The present thesis of this humble writer is also not presented for those whom Quran denominates as the livestock. It is requested that this class of people should maintain a distance from this writing and stay happily with their hero worship, blind faith and convictions.
On the other hand, I assure all of my learned and civilized Readers who are well aware of my great venture of the Quran’s most up-dated translations, that had the history not been the target of my research endeavors – along with the Quran – I would never have been able to translate the great Quran in a way which can be observed as totally contrary to the commonly prevalent ambiguous, inconsistent and insufficient form of interpretations; its very first reading enlightens the mind, with relevant context and background, with the true light of the Quran. It is the inspiration of the history that my translations, though adhering word by word with the Quranic script, move along with the relative themes and background; and therefore are as self-sufficient and self-explicit as the Quran itself. Therefore, there can be no doubt that it was the intentional outcasting of the Quran’s historical background, the Makkan struggle, the formulation of the Madinian State, and its politics and sociology which caused serious deficiencies in the study of the Quran in spite of the great number of traditionist and inherited Quranic interpretations and translations available in the past and presently. These writings could never reach the depths of its wisdom, and that was why the Muslim mind always failed to apply that wisdom in the rehabilitation of human values. It is the mandatory result of sidetracking the Quranic concept of history that traditional Muslim thinker has, till date, not known the true definitions of the Quran terminology, such as ZAALIM, KAAFIR, FAASIQ, NISAA’, NIKAAH, TALAAQ, AZWAAJ, AL-MOHAIZ, MUTRIFIN, MUSTAKBIRIN, MA MALAKAT AYIMANU-KUM, etc. The poor souls could never know that the worthy Rusool’s working life is the living proof of the Quran being a source and fountain-head of a great movement of freedom of humans from the clutches of the ever-present corrupt and plunderer segment of societies; and was not a religion educating people in the arts of worship, prostration, praying, pilgrimages and blind dogmas.
During the posting of this Article’s installments on public media, my friends’ list kept purifying itself by bidding farewell to many vicious and/or childish elements from this serious academic forum. Along with that, I felt really grateful to all those true devotees of knowledge who proved to be sane and civil in the face of the devastation of their age-old beliefs. It was those who not only overlooked their inherited faith on this sensitive historical issue, but appreciated my hard work; or expressed their reservations in a literary and academic style. All of my regular Readers are held in high esteem and are always free to form their own opinions, as I only present to them the results of my research ventures, and/or offer a few clarifications in response to their queries. They have a close relationship of sharing knowledge with me, not of always agreeing with me. It is for them that I bring up the realities of the Quran and the history in order that the perspective of our lost Ummah’s destination can be changed.
With regard to the above presentation, this humble writer has never feared this society’s small and big thugs or its multiplying religious monopolists. My work is carried out with the hardest of toil and will remain alive as a platform for the coming generations of educated and self-conscious segment to take off for the new heights. And in this form, this research work has become preserved for all times to come in the great global archives or treasures of knowledge. This is a work done on behalf of the Creator of this Universe as this entails a thorough cleansing of His own Book from the thick layers of dust and ashes. It is a work which blows out the mystery and magic spells cast by the enemies of Islam in the Quran and the history. It is a concerted effort to save the Muslim from being the target of shame, apologetic disposition and insult, by spreading the true light of the Quran all around the globe. It is also a Jihaad to obstruct the way of apostasy, deviation and atheism rapidly penetrating in the Muslim community. Hence, no human being is capable of rewarding this writer for this work. My Lord, Allah alone has the right and authority to reward me for it as He is the one Who is aware of the mysteries of human mind. And to Him alone this humble one surrenders his conscious self and his Eimaan and Conscience, with sentiments of humility and servitude, for His justice and mercy. All praise be to Allah.
It goes without saying at this point that a very special injunction of the Supreme Authority of this Universe must always be kept in our view, which stipulates that : (Al-Quran: 12/76: نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَاءُ ۗ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ ) “We keep raising to higher degrees of knowledge those who meet the criterion of our Providences; and that’s how there always exists a scholar/intellectual who is above all the other possessors of knowledge”.

The Mystery of the Human Self
The appearance of life at the human stage was a tremendous leap over all the creative stages of life that had appeared so far. Up to the animal stage, life was not aware of its own self as a distinct individuality, and as such an animal could know its immediate surroundings by dividing them into different frames, each frame revealing different values as picked up by animal senses.
However, on attaining self consciousness, man’s mental processes overshadowed the limited approach of animal senses and covered the whole universe. The reason was that the self of man which became aware of itself as a single indivisible unit was apt to see the universe also as a single unit. When he looked into the various creative stages of the universe, he saw them lacking in self-freedom and self-consciousness. Each creative stage was disciplined to limited activity as determined by its conscious values.
At the Vegetative Stage, life was recasting or molding the material or physical formations in the light of its new conscious level as determined by the stage, and was forced to preserve its life under the fixed and limited conscious values of the stage. Similarly, the animal was compelled to preserve its conscious life as determined by its senses. As man saw the life acting strictly according to its fixed conscious values at each stage, it assured his superiority over them as a Self-Conscious Being.
The Human soul reflects the history of the universe. All the stages of the creation of universe preceding the human stage are the stages of Man’s making. Had it not been so, man would never have understood the phenomena of the universe. He understands the cosmos and the great expanse of the universe because these events are not foreign to him. He has himself passed through those stages, and hence those stages very much live in him.
Man is unique in the universe; nay, he himself is the universe. Therefore, in vain we are looking for human beings elsewhere beyond this planet. Those who feel lonely in the universe are not ‘normal’. We are not alone; we are so many on this planet. Better, we should live in peace and harmony, instead of looking for human life in other planets.
If some people are hankering after human life in other planets to exploit them or establish colonies there, as they are doing on this earth, they will never succeed in their trials as life in human form does not exist elsewhere. The purpose of human life at this stage is not to capture the stars and planets. In fact, the whole universe, through which man has passed, already stands conquered. What he really needs to conquer at his present stage is the animal instincts and greed which are the cause of human misery and bloodshed. However, if he wants to capture those stars to store energy for the rockets, or wants to extract uranium for making atom bombs to wipe out the humanity from the face of this earth, he is utterly ignorant of the urge of his soul, which constantly demands love and sacrifice for his fellow human beings.
As is the fundamental principle of the creative process, whenever life starts with its new values, it never comes down from that level, nor does it lose the values so achieved by it. Accordingly, the human soul, which is the essence of the universe, and which has come to recognize the Entity, can neither come down from its self-conscious level nor can it die. Its death means the death of the Entity.
Man lives in a non-material state in his mental body. His future development, therefore, must be on the mental level only. At his present stage he remains attached to the physical body of the animal, so that he may peep into the universe by using material senses, and through that analyze his past journey in the light of his self-consciousness. The animal senses, which are material in nature, become readily available to him because of his attachment with the physical organism. However, the human self lives beyond the time and space barriers, and after the physical death of his organism, man would completely settle down to his mental state. Accordingly, the mode of his activity would change from material, symbolic motion to mental states through which he would build his own universe.
In fact, man already lives in his mental body. His physical body belongs to the animal stage, which is confined to the limited world of time and space. The human soul comes to its real own by releasing itself from his physical organism on death. Just as the animal life remains confined to a limited material world, but at the start of the human stage, the human life knew no bounds, similarly the next mental state of man would be beyond the reach of the present universe, which is confined within the time and space dimensions.
In a way, the absence of physical body may create a temporary obstacle in the progress of self-consciousness, but this temporary obstacle may help awake the human soul from its present mental state to the real self-conscious state. In other words, the urge of the human self, thwarted by the sudden change of its physical organism, turns to its own mental potentialities for real satisfaction of its spiritual love for the Creator. This could be imagined by the crude example of dreams. When the physical organism becomes inactive and thwarts the biological pressures; the animal life reflects the biological pressures in the form of dreams.
It will not be out of place to mention here that modern knowledge also sees the universe as a single whole, and in order to study it more deeply, it divides the creation of the universe into three departments of knowledge or three sciences as under :-
1) The physical science, which explains the laws of matter;
2) The science of the animal, or biology, which explains the laws of the animal body; and
3) The science of man or psychology, which explains the laws of the human mind.
Since the appearance of man on this earth, he is intrigued to know the secret of life. He wants to know how did life emerge, what is its reality, and what its ultimate purpose is. Man has however, not been able to give satisfactory answers to the above questions.
The main reason for this seems to be that although man, by virtue of being self-conscious, has realized that behind the creation of the universe there exists a Self-Conscious Entity like his own self, yet, as he is not fully aware of Him, he tries to search for Him in the universe. He forgets that, in fact, it is he himself who is the essence of the universe, and as such the answer lies within him, and not elsewhere.
What was being created in the shape of the universe was his soul. Therefore, the reality of the universe is nothing except that it served as a temporary abode of man through which he was gradually fashioned. In other words, the universe represents only the preliminary creative phases of the birth and childhood of the human soul. Beyond that it does not exist as an entity except that in so far as it reflects the attributes of the Creator, it inspires the human spirit of the greatness of his Creator, and through that his own greatness. Not aware of his own self, man explores the depths of earth and stares at the heavenly bodies above him. He can never find any clear-cut answers from these celestial bodies, which are not even aware of their own selves. Man sees these heavenly bodies moving according to their fixed pattern. It is because of their fixed tendencies that they cannot share the secrets of human self.
However, the disappointment of man is short-lived, as simultaneously a voice full of faith and determination rises from within the human soul, assuring him that there does exist a Self-conscious Entity like his own self, which has created and fixed these heavens and that,,,,,, that Entity is also his Creator, as otherwise man would never have sought Him.

Thus spake our Lord, the Creator, in His final Book of Guidance (Al-Quran):-
(1) 51:49: وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾
And in “EVERYTHING” have We created “PAIRS”, so that you may keep it in mind in your deliberations.
(2) 53:45: وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ
And HE is the One who has created “PAIRS” consisting of the masculine and the feminine.
(3) 42:11: فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ
Creator of the Earth and the heaveans, WHO has made for your benefit PAIRS out of your selfs, and PAIRS among animals.
(4) 43:12: وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ
And HE is the one WHO created PAIRS of “everything”.....
(5) سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣٦ :36:36
Glorious is HE Who has created PAIRS of all that the Earth grows, and from their own beings, and “from those things” too of which they do not know about.
Hence,
What is the mystery or the philosophy shrouded in the term “PAIRS” as used emphatically, repeatedly and most meaningfully by the Creator???
What is the nature and the composition of these PAIRS? Are they two parts of ONE COMPLETE WHOLE, or is each part a complete individual SELF from within?
What purpose does the division in PAIRS of “everything created” actually serve? Is it meant just to procreate and thus preserve the continuity of species?
Or, Does it also serve a much more profound purpose than procreation?
How does the “whole process of creation” manifest the formation of PAIRS?

The Divine injunctions above, from the Quran, very elaborately stipulate the formation of PAIRS in the whole process of creation. We just pass by these parts of the Quranic text, throwing a cursory glance on its words, and move forward without realizing the most important scientific, as well as philosophic, reality being disseminated by our Exalted Creator.
Did we ever want to know the wisdom and the purpose behind the philosophy of creating “everything” in Pairs? Or have we never thought it worth paying a careful attention? Nevertheless, every single word in divine scriptures means a wealth of knowledge, which spurs the evolution of human intelligence.
Let us reveal the results of a thorough research conducted in this fascinating sphere of knowledge, and prepare ourselves for another journey of exploration and discovery. In English, this time!
The trauma of modern secularism and the psychological assault of the aggressive disdain of divine scriptures have now been beautifully and most rationally countered and repudiated in the most common and comprehensive scientific jargon of our time.
At a time when modernity is demolishing old truths and leaving crucial questions unanswered, there is a yearning for absolute certainty concerning many important issues directly related with our daily lives.
We do have cogent reasons to believe that whatever The Creator proclaims in His Book is nothing but veritable truth, provided that His word is interpreted in a most rational way, giving full regard to its highly literary, metaphorical and idiomatic style of narration. Divine Scriptures are always narrated in metaphors, but most of their content is interpreted or translated in a literal manner. Anyone with a scholarly or academic mind would agree that this mode of defining the Scriptures alters their true face and essence in a drastic way.
Let us therefore start with a very short, but a purely academic, journey of exploration, and try to dig out a few of the countless mysteries kept dormant by frigid minds over the centuries.

The Wisdom behind ever-present PAIRS
In the case of our Universe, the first object of which we can have any knowledge, with the help of our senses, that came into existence through the creative activity of Consciousness was,,,,, the Cosmic light,,,, which extends over and covers the formation of all the celestial systems of the Universe. Its source was the particle called Photon, the first ever known particle that came into existence with the great creative urge or desire that flowed as a great impetus or spiritual ‘charge’ of attraction.
This spiritual charge, with its inherent powerful motion, created the external world in the shape of cosmic rays that illuminated space. The photon possesses energy and momentum. If an attempt is made to stop the photon, it disintegrates and an electron and positron PAIR is created. Positron is a positive electron. The phenomenon is known as PAIR PRODUCTION and the process is called the materialization of energy.
Since the reality of the Universe is one, therefore, the reality behind the creation is also one. The creation always lives in units. Keeping in view this fundamental reality of the Universe, we can positively say that the light travels or moves in the symbol of photon which lives as a unit. Our purpose here is not to discuss the subject of physics. However, the fundamental laws of creation may help us to understand the dual property of particles which are created in PAIRS.
The Cosmic light seems to have changed into packets of waves of positive and negative charges known as electrons and protons. In the beginning, these charged particles were in a chaotic state and took the form of a huge cloud or nebula. This mighty nebula split up in the course of rotation into a number of nebulae. Each nebula broke up again into a group of stars or a stellar system – one of the stellar systems which came into existence as a result of the splitting up of the galactic nebula contains the sun around which revolves our earth. During this period, the charged matter continued to combine into atoms of various complexities. The simplest atom is that of hydrogen, which contains one electron and one proton.
Thus, basically two forms of attraction, which we call negative and positive energy, are found throughout the Universe. The atoms themselves are nothing but electric charges or charges of attraction. The negative charge of electricity (not the charged matter) revolving round the positive charge acquires a material form, but in reality it is nothing but charge of attraction. Attraction means the search for completeness.
The two forms of attraction, therefore, show that they belong to one and the same family, and basically they represent one charge of attraction, which has artificially divided into two charges in such a way that each unit of charge is incomplete without the other. Nevertheless, each charge lives as a single complete unit. This artificial division is similar to the one which is found in higher stages of Life, that is, at the plant and animal stages where life, while existing as a unit, artificially divides itself into two attractions of sexes.
The universal phenomenon of artificial division into PAIRS, according to the conscious stage or level of creation, reveals that at each creative stage the attributes of the Creator which He wants to manifest appear in a unit value. Simultaneously, however, on its appearance, this unit splits up into two units from within. The reason for artificial division of life into PAIRS is apparent and embodies profound wisdom. Since life cannot directly comprehend its Creator because of its low conscious level, it splits up its values through artificial division, and then satisfies its love for the Creator through loving and appreciating its values from within. In other words, at each creative stage, life which appears as a creative “art” of the Creator, artificially divides itself to satisfy its unconscious natural love for the Creator by dividing and loving its own qualities which in a way belong to the Creator.
The relation between the Creator and His creation is based on inherently strong spiritual love and attraction. Therefore, the universe reveals a unique story of love and beauty. The Creator exhibits Himself in His attributes and loves them as His Ideal. He then manifests His Ideal, step by step, through the creative process.
On the other hand, as an inevitable inverse reaction, the inherent love for the Creator continues to put greater unconscious pressure on the creation to seek and love its Creator. However, the Ideal being in the process of creation, it cannot comprehend the Creator at its low conscious level. Therefore, the only way to satisfy its urge of love for the Creator is to seek the Creator from within, by an instinctive division of its own qualities and attributes into two units of attraction in the shape of a PAIR of opposite ‘charges’.
Loving its own beauty is in a way loving the Creator, because the beauty and charm manifested in creation belongs to the Creator only. The process of division referred to above can be perceived throughout the Universe. For example, the physical body of man and woman belongs to the animal stage and, therefore, its division in man and woman is similar to the division we find at the animal stage. At the physical plane of life, man witnesses his own beauty and charm by dividing himself in PAIRS in such a way that each of him, while maintaining his or her unique personality, remains separate from each other.
This seems strange because at one and the same plane of consciousness it is not possible to live as a complete whole and at the same time accept its division into PAIRS. This, however, is a fact which we not only witness at the human stage of creation but which is perceived in all the creative stages of the universe preceding the human stage.
At the human stage, woman adopted tender and delicate qualities which reveal charm and attraction for man. As against this, she only kept a minimal reflection of qualities like courage and bravery which show physical strength and stamina, the other attributes of beauty, and which are found in man. It is because of these delicate qualities of beauty that a woman appears charming and attractive to man. Her soft and proportionate physical structure, clean and clear facial features, sweet and attractive voice, delicious and delightful manners, charm and attract man.
Man has, on the other hand, developed splendid qualities of beauty such as bravery, courage, boldness etc. which show dignity and pomp and only kept a mere reflection of the tender side of beauty as displayed by woman. That is why man is hardworking, has a great patience and possesses a stronger physique. His dominating voice and forceful expressions reveal valour, pomp and dignity – the other attributes of beauty.
Just as on the qualitative plane of beauty, the man and the woman are incomplete without each other, so they are incomplete on the physical plane of beauty. The physical form of man and woman is complementary. The deficiency in one is compensated by the deficiency of the other.
The division in man and woman at the physical plane of human stage is artificial. Otherwise each man and woman is complete in himself as a single unit, that is, the qualities of both man and woman are present in each person. Man is, therefore, both a man and a woman and similarly the woman is both a woman and a man too. The only difference is that while the woman does not manifest all the attributes of man, potentially she has the reflection of all those qualities in her. Similarly, although a man does not display the qualities of a woman, yet potentially he has reflection of all those qualities in him.
Had there been no reflection in one of the other’s qualities, neither man nor woman could ever have loved or attracted each other. The reflection of qualities, though very much potential in each person, yet it finds a negative form, that is, it remains only in an unconscious state, which gives strong feelings of incompleteness of each other. In other words, whatever qualities are positive in one, the same appear in a negative form, or unconscious state, in the other. Thus man and woman both remain artificially incomplete without each other. Unless both of them physically and qualitatively come near to each other in union as a single person, new life cannot come into being.
It may be explained here that spiritual and physical union of both the sexes are two different realities. In spiritual union each self finds the bliss of a complete spiritual whole. As spiritual attraction is the main force of life, therefore, the real happiness or bliss can be found in the spiritual union only. This spiritual union, however, later makes way for the physical union, and the purpose of physical union is procreation of life at the material stages of creation through sexual union for which nature has provided physical pleasure.
It is very pertinent to mention here that since the body structures (physiques) of both man and woman are complementary, therefore, it is not the body that creates life; it is the LIFE which creates or moulds the physical structure according to the conscious values that life wants to satisfy. This should serve as food for thought to those who believe that life does not have any aim or purpose and that it appeared by sheer chance of mixing of a few substances.
Spiritual and physical union occurs at the animal stage also where male and female at first are attracted spiritually by color, songs and plumage etc., and then this spiritual love paves way for physical union, the main purpose of which is to continue the process of life. However, spiritual love in animals is indirect and unconscious because up to the animal stage, life is not free or self-conscious. As a substitute for spiritual bliss, an animal gets sensuous pleasure as reward through physical union of bodies.
This artificial division into PAIRS did not only exist at the animal stage of creation, but it was present in the very initial stage of creation when consciousness or life was insignificant and as such, was not directly aware of its Creator to whom it actually belonged. For example, at the very initial stage of the creation of the Universe even an atom, while living as a complete unit, had divided itself from within into a PAIR of two charges of attraction.
Then at the physical stage of earth, the earth divided itself in opposite poles of attraction in the shape of North and South Poles. At the animal stage, life started as a single unit in amoeba and, as it developed, it split up into two whole units of life. Later, the animal life permanently divided itself into two charges of attraction in the shape of male and female units. On completion of the Animal stage, when life started at the human stage, it became its own self, that is, it became aware of its Creator. With this feeling of awareness, the secrets of spiritual love dawned on it.
When we look at the various stages of the universe and find how at each creative stage the love of the Creator was inherent in the creation and how the creation at these stages was satisfying its strong urge of love for the Creator by dividing itself from within into two units and yet maintaining its complete individuality, we are struck with wonder.
We have compared the division of man and woman at the human stage with that of the male and female at the animal stage or, for that matter, with the Pairs created in different stages of the Universe. However, man and woman do not live in their material body, although they remain attached with the animal stage. We shall discuss this in detail later when writing on this interesting subject. Right now, it may be understood that man lives at the higher and separate stage of self-consciousness in its mental body which is not material. At the self-conscious stage of man, the human self or soul is the supreme manifestation of the Creator which lives as His great art. Man at his spiritual level seeks and loves his Creator from within his soul, which being the Ideal of the Creator, reflects the feeling and love for the Creator. Human soul, therefore, remains potentially charged and divided from within as a seeker and a sought, as a lover and a beloved.
Before we wind up our discussion, we would like to reiterate some of the points :-
1. The fundamental principle of division in Life in PAIRS shows that from an atom to the self-conscious man, the basic urge of life is spiritual in nature. It further suggests that since the basic urge of life is the same throughout, therefore, despite the creation of Life in different stages of the Universe, it lives as a continuous whole.
2. The biologists say that Life comes from Life only. According to them life started from the vegetable stage. We, however, believe that even every particle of the Universe is living, although life at the initial stage of creation existed at a very insignificant level of consciousness. Since the Life has been created in different stages and the conscious values of each stage are different, therefore, the mode of creation of life was different according to the conscious level of each stage.
3. Biologists explain the procreation of Life as a mechanical process. For them the division in PAIRS has no purpose except procreation of life through sex. We agree that life procreates through sexual act but the fundamental question is why life has divided itself into Pairs of two sexes. There must be some strong urge behind division in sex. This urge to our mind is spiritual love which we may call as the life force. The instinct of sex derives an influx of vitality from the urge of spiritual love which seeks beauty and is, therefore, too ready to flow into the channel of the sex instinct (which is fashioned out of the urge for beauty). The very first joy of love which a man or a woman feels for his or her mate is not sexual in character. It is spiritual as can be understood from the nature of the pleasure attending it, which is akin to the pleasure we derive from the contemplation of a beautiful work of art.
The pleasure derived from sex gratification is of a different quality. The fact that life comes from life only from its own kind and conscious level shows that it is the union of spiritual love and not the mere sexual act. The spiritual love is present in all the creative stages of Life.
4. The marvelous division of qualities in both the sexes, particularly their mode of division on Hide-and-Seek basis, could not be developed without the genuine urge of Life to witness its beauty from within. If the purpose of this division was not to satisfy its inherent love for the Creator from within, life would not have accepted division of its qualities at all because life is a complete whole.
I would like to mention here that most of the thinkers took the negative and positive charges of atom as opposing in character. From this wrong assessment they concluded that the whole structure of the universe rests on opposing forces which remain entangled with each other. Yet the others tried to explain these charges as thesis and anti-thesis, that is, at first certain values appear as a single unit and then out of this unit, anti or hostile values develop and then with the interaction of these opposite values, again one unit value emerges. Out of this unit value again anti values are born and thus through this process, evolution continues to proceed from one value to the other.
According to this hypothesis, there is no plan or creative urge behind the Universe. Also it gives the impression that the property of negative and positive charges represents opposition.
According to scientific research in the light of Quranic injunctions, these charges are not opposite in character, but belong to one and the same kind and, while living in separation, have great attraction for each other. This we see in the later stages of life where these charges emerge in the division of male and female. So from our point of view this division in PAIRS has nothing to do with thesis or anti-thesis hypothesis. Life has throughout its creation maintained this division into PAIRS and through this division life has continued to develop according to a set plan. Had these charges been opposite in character, life would never have developed and, for that matter, male and female would never have found mutual attraction.
Therefore, we must take these PAIRS as carved out of the spiritual attraction and not simply the blind electro-magnetic forces as the materialists would make us believe. It is strange that while such people indulge in loving and chasing each other in their capacity as men and women, they have never appreciated the scientific reality in their own division into PAIRS of sexes.

It may be added here, as an advance hint, that our religious clergy have memorized only a single definition of every word or term of the Quranic texts, which beyond a fraction of variance, is indiscriminately applied in all contexts as a literal and most commonplace meaning prevalent among the street masses.
A higher style of an intellectual and literary writing like allegories, metaphors, symbolic or idiomatic expressions, always observed in the exalted texts of the Quran, have always been impossible for them to discern and follow, or they deliberately ignored these literary expressions in order to meet their vicious ends – those ends which could not be served by a qualified scholarly translation.
They have been bereft of the ability of undertaking research for checking the veracity of main propositions of a Quranic theme and, as a result, indulged in deriving blind deductions there from without giving a thought to the essence of the most literary vocabulary used.

Since the dawn of human life on this planet, man has been constantly trying to solve the puzzle of his whence and whither, and the purpose of his life on earth; the urge to know himself is innate. It was this innate urge of knowing himself that compelled man to search around him, and to probe into the reality and significance of the universe.
Man conceived countless concepts about the reality of the universe which he regarded as the ideal or the purpose of life. The history of mankind is, in fact, the history of the development of these ideals. Since these ideals did not exist independent of the human self, therefore, human history is the history of the development of human consciousness, or the increasing knowledge of the human self.
When we look into history, human consciousness appears to have followed two schools of thought. One of the schools of thought is that man is pure matter, and after having lived his life he disappears in matter. As such, according to this school of thought, the reality of the universe is nothing but matter, which is without any purpose or scheme. Life evolves as a result of natural selection, and under the principle of survival of the fittest.
The natural consequence of this thinking is that human ideals have no significance except to maintain the animal aspect of the human life and continue to discharge the obligations of the animal nature. As against this, the second school of thought considers this universe as the CREATION. Since whatever concrete has emerged as a result of creation, it is the higher values of consciousness, therefore, according to this school, the reality behind the creation could be Absolute Consciousness or Absolute Being. Also, as creation is never without a purpose, therefore, the man who is placed at the apex of the creation is being drawn constantly to the purpose of the Creator.
With the advent of the 20th century, the concept of the matter underwent a radical change. The scientists have now accepted that in reality matter is nothing but energy which has taken on itself a veil of solidification. More so, matter is energy, because every particle of this universe is in constant motion, and wherever there is motion there is energy too. As to whether the reality of the universe is mere matter or mere energy, or that it is Absolute Consciousness or Absolute Being, we have to start with the preliminary question as to how this universe as a whole came into existence.
From the scientific point of view it appears that this universe is limited and that in the undefined past it had a gaseous form which, with the expansion of gas particles, developed into a huge revolving cloud or nebula. This mighty nebula split up, in the course of rotation, into a number of smaller nebulae. Each nebula broke up again into a group of stars as a stellar system. The stellar system which came into existence as a result of splitting up of the galactic nebula contains the sun around which revolves our earth. On earth, physical laws appeared and these laws continued to develop until their completion when the stage of vegetative life started.
Thereafter, the animal life came into existence which was followed by human life. Thus, the overall picture of creation when seen in retrospect shows that the universe exists as a complete unit in which every new stage is linked or connected with its preceding stage. The law of continuity supports this fact. Moreover we do not find any conflict in the laws governing the universe, which is a positive proof that all of its creative stages have developed under one continuous system.
The universality of the physical laws, which are based on a unified system, points towards the positive purpose of creation of the universe. IT IS BECAUSE WHEREVER THERE ARE LAWS OR A SYSTEM, THERE IS A PURPOSE BEHIND THEM. AND,,,, purpose cannot be dissociated from the conscious self or conscious being. This means that wherever there is a purpose, there is always behind it a conscious self who conceived the purpose.
The fact that the universe has laws and, therefore purpose, shows that whatever the reality of the universe may be, it must have the attribute of a conscious self or conscious being.
The fallacy, therefore, becomes clear that the reality of the universe is not matter, because if we accept matter to be the reality of the universe, we will have to accept that matter is not only conscious of itself, but is also aware of its purpose and aim. This is, however, contrary to reality, because the evolutionary process of matter shows that it has constantly arisen from lower conscious levels to higher conscious plans. We know that WITHOUT PRIOR UNDERSTANDING, MATTER CANNOT RISE TO A HIGHER PLAN AUTOMATICALLY. If it does, it means that it is conscious of the higher values at the lower level of its existence; which is not possible. Accordingly, there must exist certain Entity which is not only conscious of its own self, but which is conscious of the overall purpose of the creation of the universe.

For the sake of argument, if it is considered that since matter has the attributes of consciousness, and as such matter and consciousness are two parallel realities, we have to reject this hypothesis outright because two realities cannot exist side by side as the universality of the physical laws that points towards one single purpose cannot admit of any plurality or duality.
In support of those who contend that the reality of the universe is real matter, we are left with one more supposition. That is, matter has the attributes of a seed which is unfolding itself through an evolutionary process. By treating matter as a seed, we are confronted with the problem as to who is nourishing this seed. It is because a seed is nourished by soil, air and water, so also is the fetus which is fed through an umbilical cord. Unless, therefore, the seed of "matter‟ is nourished by Absolute Conscious Being or Absolute Self, the matter could not evolve on its own to definite plans as it has.
The idea that life has evolved of its own, through the process of natural selection from within, is not conceivable either. It could be meaningful only if the natural selection is a conscious act, and the selection is made for attaining a certain purpose. Without any purpose in view, natural selection would imply a mere blind act, and blind acts are doomed to destruction. The fact that the universe has successfully developed from lower to higher conscious stages, shows that the universe is advancing towards a certain goal. We conclude, therefore, that the universe is not an entity in itself, but is a creation which is being created under definite principles and laws. And that at the back of these laws, there is some Being who is aware of its purpose, as also of its own self as a distinct and unique Entity. Unless such an Entity knows itself, its attributes and its possibilities, it cannot create. We may call this Entity the Absolute Consciousness or Absolute Being. In other words, the universe is a creation in which Absolute Consciousness or Being is manifesting his Ideal, which is hidden in himself and attracting him to bring it out through the genius of his creative activity. Since creation has a beginning and an end, therefore, the creative process appears in the shape of evolution unfolding the purpose or ideal of the Creator.
The universe has been created as a single unit. Therefore, we take it that its Creator is also one. Since the universe, after various stages of its creation, has ultimately entered the human stage, and the greatest achievement at the human stage is attainment of self-consciousness, we can safely say that the purpose of the creation of the universe is to create man. Man is, therefore, the ideal of the Absolute Consciousness, whom the Creator processed through various stages, by shaping and nourishing with his own attributes, until reaching the human stage, the attributes of the Creator appeared in man as a soul.
Since the attributes that appeared as a "soul‟ in man belonged to the Absolute Consciousness or Absolute Being, the soul of man began to reflect from within the feeling of the presence of its maker. This reflection of presence of Absolute Consciousness in man made him self-conscious. We can, therefore, conclude that since all the previous creative stages of the universe meant the creation of man, and since the most significant thing that has emerged at the human stage is self- consciousness, it suggests that in each creative stage of the universe, fundamentally it was consciousness which was emerging as natural attraction for the Creator in accordance with such conscious value as determined by the Creator. The universe thus seen looks like the creative art of the Absolute Consciousness, which as it developed, continued to reflect conscious attributes of the Creator.
Reflection of consciousness in man shows that the Creator is Universal Consciousness. It is because every creation, whether human or divine, reflects the attributes of the creator. It is the desire or will of the creator that attracts him to create, and if the creator cannot express his will in his creation, or the creation does not reflect the attributes of the creator, the creation cannot take place. Thus every creation, whether human or Divine, must reflect the attributes of its creator.
The desire to manifest something of his own attributes creates urge in the creator for creation. On the other hand, as the creation gradually develops, it rises towards its own source, the creator, whose attributes are already reflected in the creation. This automatically creates an urge in the creation to seek and love its creator. In the case of the universe, as it gradually finds reflection of attributes of its Creator in it, it strives hard to realize its Creator. Creation owes its entire existence to the Creator and, therefore, its happiness lies only in loving and seeking the Creator. Whatever is created is the manifestation of the Creator himself. The creation, on the other hand, is fashioned out of the desire of the Creator in which the soul of the Creator flows and makes the creation alive – alive to its source, the Creator.

As we have discussed in the preceding paragraphs, it is now generally believed that the reality of the universe is energy. Hitherto it was considered as pure matter. The reason for this change is said to be that although matter can convert into energy, and likewise energy can convert into matter, yet there is no form of matter which does not contain energy. Energy is, therefore, the essence or reality of the universe. All the beauty and attraction that exists in the universe, the light of the day and darkness of the night, all colours and shades and the various grades of matter, right from the beginning of the universe up to the intellectual stage of man, are the manifestations of energy. Even the self-consciousness of man is the evolutionary form of energy.
We are aware of many forms in which energy is used in different ways. For example, according to the physical laws, sound produces different waves in atmosphere. These waves, if captured in a magnetic tape, can be reproduced again in the form of sound. At the biological stages energy manifests itself in a most complicated form. If we burn a piece of wood, energy inherent in the wood would manifest itself in the form of carbon, heat and light. Even its remnants, the ashes, disappear in the atmosphere in the shape of small particles. Thus, the wood which was the congealed shape of energy, turned into various forms of energy after its burning.
We cannot, however, accept energy as the reality of the universe on the simple ground that it is never stable. Anything which is not stable in itself cannot be the Creator or the Reality of the universe. In view of the above, some philosophers and thinkers have maintained that behind energy there is another kind of energy which, according to them, is the reality of the universe. They name that energy as "stable‟ energy.
Apparently, this hypothesis seems to be convincing, because motion being the basic property of simple energy, it continues to change and anything which is subject to change cannot be the Creator. Hence "stable energy‟ only could be the reality of the universe, which is shaping or building the universe. However, when we deeply study the creative process of the universe, we find that the universe has been created in successive stages, and the basic characteristic which differentiates these stages is the lower or higher values of consciousness.
Unless, therefore, mind or consciousness was active in the energy for attaining certain higher goals, none of the form of energy, whether simple or stable, could without prior understanding, move automatically from lower conscious stages to higher conscious stages, that is, from material stages of the universe to the self-conscious stage of man.
Moreover, whether the energy is simple or stable, it cannot explain the universe as it exists. All the shapes of matter, geometrical properties of Cosmos, harmonious continuity in physical laws, attraction and urge in life, are such properties which could not emerge simply by jolts or motions. We have the reason to believe, therefore, that unless motion or movement is guided by a certain entity having such qualities which cause stars to twinkle, the clouds to thunder, the rivers and streams to flow, the flowers to bloom and the urge in life to manifest itself in all its splendor, none of the above values would have come into existence.
Also, all such qualities which emerge in a new form in man like faith, love, self-esteem, will and self-consciousness, etc. clearly indicate that energy AS UNDERSTOOD BY PHYSICISTS cannot be the reality of this wonderful universe. The reality of the universe could only be something which is self-conscious and which possesses qualities similar to those manifested in man. Otherwise, we cannot explain the will or volition of man nor the phenomena of love and attraction manifested in life throughout the created stages of the universe.
WE, THEREFORE, BELIEVE THAT ENERGY IS THE VITALITY OF ATTRACTION WHICH IS ONE OF THE INTRINSIC ATTRIBUTES OF CONSCIOUSNESS OR LIFE. IN OTHER WORDS, ENERGY DOES NOT EXIST INDEPENDENT OF CONSCIOUSNESS. WHERE THERE IS ENERGY, THERE IS CONSCIOUSNESS TOO. All the units of energy are living and conscious, limited by the stage or level of their creation.
At the Cosmic Stage these units of life lived in the form of material organism. At the biological stages these units of life or energy lived in the organism of plants and animals. And at the human stage, these units of life appeared in human consciousness or human self. We can also name energy as conscious or creative vitality of the Absolute Consciousness who manifests his volition in every creative act. Therefore, each movement or motion is activated thought or consciousness.
The Absolute Consciousness, being unique in himself and in his attributes, he conceives his beauty and charm in the form of an Ideal and wants to bring it into reality. So long as he does not bring it into reality, the Ideal which remains implicit in the mind of the Creator continues to attract him from within for its creation. The real urge behind creation is thus the extreme love or attraction for the Ideal which when flows, emerges in the form of motion.
In other words, we can say that the urge which is conscious in nature, when energized with the attraction of the Ideal, it begins to move in the symbol of matter. Matter is, therefore, nothing but a charge of attraction. Its every motion brings along with it the attributes of the Ideal of the Creator. The motion neither exists independent of its own nor is it mechanical in nature. It is the activity of consciousness through which it manifests its attributes. Thus seen, the fountain-head of all activities is the Absolute Consciousness.

We can see the motion and matter but not the energy. It is because energy is non-material and it cannot be apprehended by the senses. We can understand the property of motion and energy by studying its behavior at the physical and biological stages of the universe. Unfortunately, the modern concept of energy and motion has been vague and misleading. The physicists define energy as something which works. This is a vague definition as work could only be that work which is being acted upon to attain the cherished goal. In other words, some purpose or motive must exist behind every motion.
In order to define our view, we shall briefly discuss the various stages of the universe and the forms of energy and motion at each stage subject to the conscious level of the stage.
Although the universe exists as a single unit, yet, when we ponder seriously over its various processes, we find that it is Life or Consciousness which has been created in different closed systems or stages, that is, the Cosmic Stage, the Planet Earth, the Vegetative Stage, the Animal Stage and, lastly, the Human Self-conscious stage. Let us first discuss here the self-conscious stage of man, which is the most significant and highest conscious stage of the universe. For this purpose, we shall have a cursory look at the material forms built by man all over the globe since his emergence at the human stage. We find huge buildings, network of roads, factories, automobiles, furniture, fabrics and infinite varieties of goods etc. All these forms have been built as a result of motion. The media of motion, that is, the tools used by man, are various and of different kinds. We may divide these tools into three groups or grades for convenience of understanding.
Firstly, there are physically built-in tools which the human body has brought with it such as legs, hands, feet etc. Secondly, those tools which belong to the animal stage of life, such as domesticated animals. Thirdly, those tools which the human intellect created from various living forms of matter such as plants as well as minerals and substances, including water, gas, electricity etc. We may name this group of tools mechanical tools such as hammer, sickle, cranes, automobiles, bulldozers, generators and different kinds of machines. All these tools are used and controlled by the human intellect or human conscious self for achieving certain purposes. One thing which is common among all these tools and which has made the use of these tools possible, is motion. Motion may be mechanical or physical, it may be slow or fast, but all the forms on earth built by man are the result of motion. Motion is, however, not possible without these tools. Also the motion of tools, whether it is the motion of hands or the motion of machines, does not exist independent of the purpose which the human intellect or human conscious self wants to achieve.
In the manufacturing of machines it is the human consciousness which acts in the form of machines. The Machine as a tool of motion could not exist without the flow of human consciousness that created it. Now as we see it, basically the characteristic of motion is the same, but the media of motion, that is, the tools, are of many forms. In the motion of each form of tool it is the purpose of the human conscious self which acts.
In other words, these tools are extensions of the hands and feet of human beings, through which the human intellect or consciousness acts to achieve certain purposes. Just as the motion of the tool of the pen or pencil follows the motion of the tool of the hand, and both these tools are controlled and acted upon by the human consciousness which uses them for achieving certain purposes, similarly all other forms of tools are the extension of the hands of the human body, through which the human consciousness works. If we take away the human intellect or conscious self, we will find that all the man-made forms on the globe will disappear, and so with it the tools created by the human self. Thus it is the human consciousness which produces motion.
These tools are energized by the human consciousness and, therefore, in so far as they serve the purpose of the human conscious self, they are living and conscious. Otherwise, these forms of tools or energy simply cannot exist.
The confusion about energy and motion arises because we see things in parts or in isolation, removed from the overall purpose. Now taking the creation of the universe as a whole, we can understand in a much better way the reality of motion vis-à-vis its tools through which it works. As we have explained above, motion or, for that matter, any of its tools, has no meaning unless motion follows the pattern set by the overall purpose or consciousness creating the universe in successive stages.
At each creative stage of the universe, there may be infinite forms of tools animated or energized by the purpose, and so there may be infinite patterns of motion according to the level of conscious values to be achieved at each stage. In other words, in spite of all these varieties of tools, there is only one basic energy permeating the universe, and that energy is not mechanical energy as generally understood by the physicists. It is living or conscious energy which knows itself as also its purpose.
Let us take, for example, the first Cosmic Stage of the Universe. Here the tool is the photon particle and its motion is the speed of light. The photon has been created by the Absolute Consciousness for manifesting his Ideal. The photon is living, in so far as it follows the Absolute Consciousness or Will of the Creator. All the different forms of matter and their grades that were created at the Cosmic Stage, and which the physicists name as the various forms of energy, followed motion as determined by the overall purpose of the Creator to be achieved at the Cosmic Stage. Therefore, all the patterns of motion, and the tools such as sub-atomic particles, particles, atoms etc through which this motion continued to build - partly by collision of particles and partly by the situation of an attraction between the particles - were determined by the overall conscious values of the Cosmic plan of life. When the Cosmic Stage came to a close, all the patterns of motion and its tools, that is, particles, atoms of various elements and their organizations in the form of huge celestial bodies, became permanently fixed. The whole purpose of the Cosmic Stage was to create various forms of elements. Each element was thus the living art fashioned out of the creative process or activity of the Creator at the Cosmic Stage. These elements were the essence of the Cosmic Stage, which carried all the properties of motion as determined by the plan.

The fundamental law of creation tells us that on completion of each stage, the conscious values or systems so achieved under the plan, come to stay permanently. If the physicists disturb the atoms of certain elements they find a natural reaction according to the crude conscious level of the atom. The physicists ignore the great skill and art inherent in the atom; instead they rejoice over the notion that it could destroy the human beings and all of their works. In other words, the concept of energy before them is mechanical and crude motion, devoid of any purpose of consciousness. The physicists call this terrible motion of the atom, Energy. As we have stated, man forgets that in creating this tool of atoms, Nature had worked wonders but it is the man who has changed this atom into a tool of destruction.
But if man tames the property of these atoms for constructive achievements, without destroying its life, this terror may become a life sustainer.
In fact, all the properties of various forms of energy created at the Cosmos seem to have been arranged, harmonized, cooled and finally forced into the shells of these elements which are known as the basic or elementary bricks of the universe. On the next closed system of Planet Earth we find these elements ready-made, and it does not occur to us that they could once have been quite different. On completion of the first creative stage of the Cosmos, the second higher conscious plan starts at Planet Earth, as a different compartment or closed system. Under this higher conscious plan, the Planet Earth further fixed the pattern of motion by using the elements as working tools. The behavior or motion of elements so fixed is what we call physical laws.
In the beginning, these physical laws continued to shift and change until they synthesized in a complete single order. All the physical formations of earth, under its conscious plan, were manifestations of consciousness which were achieved by the Earth through various compounds and mixtures as tools of motion or the forms of energy fixed by the earth. The ups and downs of valleys, the ever-changing weather, the flow of water, plains, seas, rivers, etc, were all based on the pattern of motion brought about by harmony and coordination, the characteristics of consciousness. On completion of these laws in perfect order, they became fixed, and hence they could not deviate from the pattern of the motion fixed under the overall conscious values of the Planet Earth as a living unit. Here too the infinite forms of compounds, mixtures etc., synthesized by the Planet Earth as tools of work or motion could neither be destroyed nor created on completion of the stage.
The next higher conscious plan, the Vegetable life, started as a closed system after the physical laws became fixed. Here the pattern of motion, and the tools which the plant organism synthesized as a unit organism, were different from the preceding stages of creation because of the higher conscious plan of the Vegetative Stage. Since life at the Vegetative Stage was not aware of itself as yet, therefore it projected its conscious values as a model of living organism by reacting in a different way to the physical laws and harnessing the pattern of their motion according to its new conscious values, by introducing right proportions in the cuts, forms and shape of leaves, as well as in the proportion of colors, shape and fragrance of flowers etc. The activity or motion at the Vegetative Stage of life corresponded to the conscious values of plants which acted as self-contained organisms for determining their own conscious values at that stage. Here also the built-in mechanisms within the plant organism served as tools, and the pattern of motion was fixed by each plant according to its conscious level.
At the close of the Vegetative creative plan, life entered the Animal plan of life. Here again, according to the higher instinctual plan, each animal built its own tools such as limbs, legs, eyes, teeth, paws etc under the overall conscious plan of life. The animal controlled these tools and their motion. Even the tools contained in its body, such as heart, lungs, kidneys, stomach etc moved in coordination with, and control of the overall purpose of animal life.
Thus the tools of organisms and their motion were determined by the overall purpose of each creative plan, and all these creative plans were further determined by the overall single purpose which ran throughout the universe as a single order or unified system.

THE PHYSICISTS ARE LOOKING FOR A SINGLE OR UNIFIED SYSTEM OF ENERGY WHICH CONTROLS ALL THE FORMS OF ENERGY PREVAILING IN THE UNIVERSE.
THEY ARE, HOWEVER, SADLY IGNORANT OF THE FACT THAT THE PROPERTY OF ENERGY IS NOT MECHANICAL; ITS CHARACTERISTIC IS CONSCIOUSNESS AND, THEREFORE, THE ONLY CONTROLLING OR UNIFIED ENERGY OF THE UNIVERSE IS NONE ELSE THAN THE ABSOLUTE CONSCIOUSNESS OR THE ABSOLUTE BEING. IT IS THE PURPOSE OR CONSCIOUSNESS WHICH MOTIVATED ALL CREATION AND NOT MERELY THE LATENT OR MECHANICAL ENERGY, AS UNDERSTOOD BY THE PHYSICISTS.
In other words, what we call energy, is the conscious will or purpose of the Absolute Consciousness, which appeared in symbols of charged particles with motion of light. As the creation continued to advance step by step in independent closed systems or creative stages, the life or consciousness appeared as a counter current or charge of attraction for the Creator, which reflects love or attraction for the Creator. All its properties or attributes are the work of the Creator. Up to the animal stage, life had not recognized itself, therefore, the implements used by life were organized by nature, and the results to be obtained were willed by nature.
Nevertheless, life up to these stages, in so far as it had become conscious of its Creator, did struggle and cooperate on its own. At the human stage, life became directly aware of its Creator, and so also its own self. Here the human being, because of his greater or universal enlightenment, enjoyed the universal freedom.
Man, therefore, partakes more share in achieving the results as willed by the Creator. Accordingly, the implements fabricated by human beings are not restricted to the inborn implements obtained by life up to the animal stage.
THE HUMAN BEING BUILT ARTIFICIAL INSTRUMENTS TO GIVE FULL EXPRESSION TO HIS UNLIMITED AND UNSATIATED URGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS. The advantages and disadvantages of artificial instruments and of the natural instruments balance so well that it is hard to differentiate in their mechanism. The instruments at the Animal Stage and at the preceding stages were handy. These could be repaired by life on its own, although these represented infinite complexity of detail combined with a marvelous simplicity of function. As against the Animal instruments, the instruments fabricated by human consciousness cost effort, and are generally troublesome to handle. However, it gives complete freedom to man to build whatever implements he wants, and to organize whatever form of matter he chooses.
MATTER IS UNTHINKABLE WITHOUT MOTION, AND MOTION IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL STIMULI OR MOTIVE.
All motion consists in the interplay of attraction and repulsion. Attraction and repulsion are the attributes of life or consciousness only. At higher conscious stages, attraction and repulsion appear in love and hatred. Selection and rejection is the fundamental attribute of life because of its free activity. The attribute of attraction and repulsion in atoms shows conscious activity of life. Besides the above attributes of life, all the forms of matter represent mathematical symbols – a priory consciousness. All matter is, therefore, living. It lives with its particular laws corresponding to the stage of its creation.
The laws prevailing in the Cosmos are not applicable to the next higher stage of Vegetable Life. Similarly the laws of Animal life do not apply to Human life. The process of creation continues to get complicated and emerge in greater consciousness at each higher closed system. THESE PROCESSES ARE IRREVERSIBLE. The higher laws rule and dominate the laws working in the preceding stages. The laws in the lower stages remain ignorant of the laws working at the higher stages. This shows that at the back of all motions or activity of the universe, it is consciousness which acts, and that all forms of matter represent the form of consciousness expressed in symbols. At each higher stage, these symbols of matter are replaced by symbols of different and higher materiality. It suggests that, ultimately, nothing will remain of matter as it will be completely replaced by abstract or mental symbols. The Human self or soul already lives beyond the material state, and hence dominates all forms of life created in the different material symbols throughout the universe.

We shall now discuss briefly the general properties of motion. Motion emerges from its state of nothingness and creates the external world. The first form of motion which appeared in the shape of impulses of light laid the foundation of our universe. Gradually consistent with the activity created with each and every motion, the attributes or Ideal of the Creator continued to emerge from its potentially hidden or non-material state. Not only did the external world come into being from its state of nothingness, but along with the continuous creative motion, time and space were also born. Time and space are, therefore, the product of the creative activity of the Absolute Consciousness. Even at the material stages, all acts of life appear from its hidden or non-material state. This is because life or consciousness is non-material, hence it cannot be perceived with our physical senses. It can only be felt by its behavior.
All the creative acts that we find in the universe have their source in the Absolute Being. As such, creation as it has developed, has a natural attraction for its Creator. Attraction is the natural characteristic of life, and, therefore, where there is attraction there is life too. Life is thus present at every stage of creation, and it remains stable from within as a nucleus. It is present in an atom as well as in a plant and an animal at the material stages and in the form of self or soul at the human stage.
Motion or movement in the universe is of two kinds, or we may say this motion is two-sided. The one is that in which the Creator acts for its creation, and the other is that in which the creation (life), acts (to the extent it has become conscious of its Creator) for seeking the Creator. In fact, each action of creation is an act of love and self-expression. Since the central or pivotal point of attraction for the creation is its Creator, so the creation satisfies its natural urge of love for the Creator through the act of seeking and loving him. As the creation continued to rise step by step, it became more and more conscious of its Creator. In the initial stage of creation, that is at the Cosmic Stage, life was little conscious of its Creator. So at that stage, creation was acting unconsciously according to the will of the Creator, which showed its instinctual attraction for the Creator.
In other words, at the Cosmic Stage, which emerged in the shape of innumerable galaxies and solar systems, the activity of the Cosmos was also partly responsible for organizing into systems as willed by the Creator. This is evident in the response and strict behavior of life at that Stage. At the next higher stage of Planet Earth, physical laws achieved their completion partly by following willingly the system as willed by the Creator. Thus in the very initial stages, the natural urge in creation to follow consciously or unconsciously the urge of the Creator as willed by him was, in fact, partly due to satisfy its own love or attraction for the Creator. At the next higher stages, that is, at the Plant and Animal Stages, life had become more conscious of its Creaor, and so, accordingly, its creative activity to satisfy the love for the Creator was more conscious and voluntary in nature.

IT MAY BE ASKED AS TO WHY THE ABSOLUTE BEING CREATES AT ALL???
The Absolue Consciousness, being unique in itself and in its personality, must have unlimited attributes. As is apparent from the word “Attribute”, it is comething which has an attraction and atachment for its possessor. With the manifestation of these atributes, the Absolute Consciousness reveals Himself. In other words, the manifestation of atributes is the natural uge of the Absolute Consciousness, through which he manifests his existence. Without the manifestation of his attributes, the Absolute Consciousness cannot fulfill its purpose. Consciousness lives as a unique central entity whom we may call Self or Personality. Just as the Self exists as an entity or a central attraction for its attributes, similarly, the attributes exist potentially in the Self. In other words, if the Self is soul, its attributes inherently exist with it, like its "body‟. Self or Personality, whether it is Divine or human, lives with its attributes in a unit complementary to each other. The attributes attract the Self for their manifestation, and the Self, energized with their attraction, manifests itself to exhibit its own beauty and possibilities. Self thus gets its own strength and satisfaction by revealing itself in the attributes which, when revealed, continue to reflect from within the love and attraction for the Self. Thus creation is the inherent urge of the Creator through which he witnesses his own charm and beauty vis-à-vis various potentialities and possibilities.
The life that appears at each succeeding stage comes as a victory over the preceding stages. Just as Planet Earth is a victory over the Cosmic Stage, similarly life that appeared on Planet Earth was a victory over its preceding stages. Man, who is living at the highest creative stage, thus stands victorious over all the creative stages of the universe.
To conquer the universe means to conquer, step by step, all conscious stages, and ultimately emerge as the Ideal of the Creator.
As such, no physical conquering of the universe is involved. We are not to land on the stars, nor is it our purpose to put them at leash. Man has, however, not fully conquered his “NAFS”, that is, the instinctual desires of his physical organism, which belong to the preceding stage of animal. As soon as he has been able to bring these desires under his control by properly normalizing them, he would emerge as the real victor of the whole universe.
If we keep in view the fundamental principle of creation, that the processes of nature proceed only in one direction, and that what concrete has emerged in the wake of creation is the higher values of consciousness, we can take it that Planet Earth is the essence of the whole Universe which contains all the essentials of the Universe.
Like an egg cell, the Planet Earth has developed a heavy shell of atmosphere around it. In the first phase of its development, Planet Earth gave order to its substances by sifting and mixing them in proportions which we call physical laws. On completion of these laws, the next higher stage of vegetable life starts, which acts on the physical laws and its environment, and then at the next stage of animals, the animal life acts on both the preceding stages, where all the systems live in perfect coordination. Still at the next higher stage, life emerges in self-consciousness of man, which inter-acts upon all the preceding systems within the closed system of the Planet Earth.
It seems that like the life processes of an egg cell, all the various stages preceding the self-conscious stage of man were the preparatory stages for the creation of the human being. The Human soul is still in the making, and we have reasons to believe thatj just like a chicken fetus, which after going through various life processes, turns into a complete model of life and, then by breaking the egg shell comes out of the small space of its confinement, similarly humanity, on completion of its self-conscious stage on Earth, will come out of the material stage of life to its spiritual state of consciousness. Just as on completion of the chicken fetus in the egg cell, all the liquid substances in the egg turn into a unit organism and nothing remains behind, similarly humanity, which is passing through the last phase of its creation from within the closed system Planet Earth, when achieved the highest values of the stage, it would emerge as the Ideal of the Creator, in which each soul with all its universal values will be represented.
THIS IDEAL OF THE CREATOR WILL COME OUT OF THE TIME AND SPACE BARRIERS OF THE MATERIAL UNIVERSE, AND WILL LIVE IN ITS EVER GROWING SPIRITUAL STATE WITH THE GLORY OF ITS CREATOR.
Incidentally, we would like to point out that the analogy of the egg cell is not a perfect analogy of Planet Earth, as it has no relevance with the creative process. Egg cell is an isolated system within the creative process, through which the creation preserves its values already achieved. But in the case of creation, the values to be achieved are not prefixed. nor could these be isolated from the overall purpose, which exists in broad outline as a unit attraction or Ideal with the Creator. Therefore, the evolutionists should not misinterpret this analogy to mean that Planet Earth, like the egg cell, is the seed of the human self or soul, and that the Planet Earth exists as an Entity which already knew the various processes of the creation of man.

We have briefly discussed the various stages of the CREATION of the Universe in the preceding matter. When we consider the creation of life in these stages, we find that each new stage appeared with higher values of consciousness, as compared to the consciousness or life created in the preceding stages. It gives the impression that the lower stage of consciousness gives birth to the higher stage of consciousness. THIS IS NOT CORRECT because a lower stage of consciousness cannot, on its own. jump to a higher state of consciousness, which starts with a different kind of conscious values. However, in spite of this clear factual position, the evolutionists believe that the universe is not a creation, but it has evolved from lower to higher stages.
Apart from other things, they argue that the preceding stages provide the right environment to the higher stage, without which the higher stage could not come into existence. For example, if we take the Vegetative Stage, we will find that vegetable life could not develop without the soil, water and proper environment which are provided by the preceding Stage of Earth. Similarly, at the Animal Stage, the animal could not exist without the vegetable life and the environment which kept it alive. Even at the Human Stage of self-consciusness, the senses, with the help of which man tries to understand the universe viz-a-viz the material conditions of life, have been made available to him by the animal. Evolutionists, therefore, believe that life has evolved as a result of evolutionary process.
We have already discussed this and many other questions in the preceding discussions, wherein we have rejected outright such notions, as according to our study the lower stage of life always remains unaware of the higher life that starts on it. It is, therefore, not correct to think that the lower state of life, having different conscious values, “evolves” itself into a different and higher kind of life without prior understranding. On the contrary, WE SEE A CLEAR MIND WORKING BEHIND THE WONDERFUL CREATIVE PROCESS, which gives direction and ensures continuity of life. In fact, when the evolutionists try to find out the missing links between these stages, they are already assured from within that there exists a great order which cannot accept discontinuity. This assurance from within ourselves is a proof that creation is not without purpose, and that a certain conscious Entity exists, who is realizing HIS PURPOSE THROUGH CREATION.
